Yoga for Kids

Yoga is an invaluable practice for healthy young bodies and minds. It can provide children with the gift of an unwavering belief in themselves, and build a strong physical, mental and emotional foundation which lasts a lifetime.

The primary issues facing young people today include:

  • Stress, Anxiety and Depression
  • ADHD
  • Obesity
  • Body image distortion
  • Diabetes

By allowing them to identify their personal strengths, to participate in a healthy and non-competetive activity, and to connect with something much bigger than themselves, yoga can give children the great gifts of self-love, self-acceptance, confidence, and good health.

Yoga for children is fun and inclusive. It can be practiced in a yoga studio, school classroom, and at home.

Yarra Ranges Yoga does not currently offer regular kids yoga classes, but is able to offer individual sessions for children who could benefit from a specialised program for their needs. Sessions or courses in your childcare centre, kindergarten, primary or secondary school are also available.
